Control Knob With Aluminium Skirt, 0 to 10 or Pointer Markings For Volume Potentiometer Short Shafts

This is one item of new, 37mm diameter control knob available in two varieties. One has the numbers 0 to 10 printed on the aluminium skirt at 30 degree intervals and the other has a triangular pointer marking. The shaft size is 6.3mm / 1/4 inch and it will fit on round or flatted shafts. The screw goes deep enough to fit onto 6.0mm metric shafts and the eccentricity seen when used like this is barely noticeable. The type with the numbers can be used with the potentiometer which has 11 click-detent positions at 30 degree intervals as seen on another listing in my shop. I fancy that this could be useful in analog synth applications where you might like to be able to reproduce a certain favourite patch with some degree of reliability.
The grub screw fixing is a standard slotted type and this is set quite low down on the shaft. The centre of the screw is only 7mm up from the bottom face. That allows this knob to fit on quite short shafts, down to about 10mm long as seen in the demonstration picture using a short shaft variable capacitor.
There is a 2mm deep recess on the bottom face around where the control may be fixed to the panel to accommodate the presence of the pot mounting nut or screws. The maximum shaft length is about 13mm. The total height of the knob is 15mm.
