Quad 4 Gang AM FM Variable Capacitor 266pF and 20pF 500pF Total

This is one item of new variable capacitor comprising two 266pF AM sections and two 20pF FM sections. The higher pack quantity options are cheaper per item.

All the sections can be connected together if required to create 572pF in total for receiving loop antennas or for a crystal set tuning capacitor which calls up 500pF. The matching 266pF sections allow use in low power Z-match type antenna matching circuits. The shaft is a standard short type of 6.0mm diameter and it measures 4.0mm across the flats. The thread in the middle of the shaft is M2.5, as are the two mounting holes.

I have this available with a plastic shaft extension on another listing in the shop. Sorry, I don't have any specific thumbwheel knobs or drive wheels for this standard short shaft fitting.

The trimmer capacitors C1 to C4 on the rear measure about 15pF maximum. These C1 and C2 are internally connected across the two FM sections but C3 and C4 have separate external connections rather than internal connections to the AM sections. All the connections have long, easy to solder tabs or they can even be connected without soldering using 2A terminal block connectors. Connection diagrams are shown in the pictures.
