Latching Push Button Switch Push On Push Off DPDT 2P2T or 4PDT Various Caps

Switches and buttons are sold separately from the variations list. Where the buttons and switches are shown together, this is to demonstrate the fit. The secondary pictures show two repair jobs.

This is one item of new, push-on, push-off PCB mounting switch available in two pole DPDT or four pole 4PDT versions. Buttons are also available from the variations list. The contacts are silver plated. These are often used on older audio mixing desks and they are shown in some of the pictures replacing the worn L-R-Mono switches on an EELA S340 channel unit, where the replacement parts have the black plastic body. The actuator is 3.3 X 3.3mm and a push fit button is required. The maximum voltage rating is 50 V.D.C. with a switching power limit of 15 Watts.

Also shown in the pictures is a serving suggestion where the same switch is used in a Musical Fidelity amplifier to switch between moving magnet and moving coil gramophone pickup input level. If your old hi-fi amplifier has such a switch on the back and the gram input is misbehaving, it may well be temporarily fixed by wiggling the switch and then getting a replacement fitted.

The buttons are a snap-on push fit. There are two clicks when pushing them on so you may need to push them a bit harder than first expected. You should only try to pull them off again when the switch is in the out position. I recommend carefully levering them off from the switch shaft with a small screwdriver rather than pulling them off.

The manufacturer is C&K. The separation between the pins is 4mm in the long direction. The separation between the rows is 6mm.
