This is one item of new, single gang, W taper, carbon track potentiometer.
These are new items and come with a nut and a washer for mounting on a front panel. The shaft is a round 6.35mm one quarter inch diameter type. The mounting hole required is 7mm diameter. The total shaft length is 15mm where 9mm of this is the turning part and 6mm is the threaded part. The extra long connection pins are intended for PCB mounting with the pot standing vertically up from the board.
The "W" prefix before the track resistance value denotes a special equaliser track taper intended for use in such things as frequency banded audio equaliser controls and analogue filters. The pot would typically be set in the middle for 0dB and be labelled in linear fashion for dB lift and cut on either side; The track has maximum resistance change around the middle of the travel and less at either end. There is no center click. The rotation angle is 300 degrees.
The maximum power rating is 0.1W. The track resistance tolerance is 20%. The overall body diameter is 18mm which includes a removable plastic dust cap.
If you have a pot with a track label of W502, this is a W5K where 2 is the number of zeros after 50 in Ohms. A 102 would be 1K, a 472 would be 4K7 etc. Sometimes pots may also be labelled with the W as a suffix e.g. 5KW.
