This is one item of new, cable mounted line socket as often used on the Weller TCP soldering iron as seen in the pictures, made by Bulgin. This is the part that goes on the soldering iron cable. It is accurately described as a line socket though you might think of it as being more of a plug. The rating is 250V a.c. 3A though only when used inside inaccessible equipment, 50V otherwise. The strain relief part at the back can be cut back with strong scissors to accommodate the size of cable to be fitted. The diameter of the mating part is 14mm.
