This is a used air spaced variable capacitor recovered from a 1960's transistor radio. It has been tested for shorts and the maximum capacitance value of each section. You can use this to tune crystal set radios and LW / MW AM receiving loop antennas. The long round shaft is 38mm long and one quarter inch, 6.3mm diameter. The shaft functions as a 5:1 reduction drive.
